Hump Day Yummies
Here's a collection of recipes I've been eying this week. I'm hoping to come back to these recipes at some point. :-)
These look so crisp, buttery, and delicious. Best of all? They're egg free!
We gave up cable TV a few years ago, but if I had the Food Channel, I'd watch PW. She homeschools her kids, she has long red hair, and is married to a cowboy. I'd say we probably don't have much in common, but her food looks yummy so I'd say we'd be friends!
I've picked two recipes from Jamie Cooks it Up. Her food looks simple and easy - key points for me! Parmesan on baked French fries? Perfect combo! And zucchini and cheese? This is a woman after my own heart.
Coconut, chocolate, and almonds equal pure yum. I have nothing more to say than that.
Blueberry Pancakes - Canella Vita
If I had blueberries in the fridge, I'd be making this right now. Maybe I'll have to substitute apple or nectarines or maybe I'll just go buy some blueberries. Pancakes are one of my favorite breakfast foods. Oh and did I mention that Canella Vita is written by a girl in her teens? I'm so impressed!
Last, but not least, is from my husband, who read about bacon bowls on Life Hacker. Why Life Hacker is writing about bacon bowls, I don't know, but it's genius. I Googled "bacon bowls" and see BLTs, egg dishes, mac and cheese, and oh so much more. I'm thinking about meatloaf or mashed potatoes - or maybe a meatloaf cupcake with mashed potato frosting in a bacon bowl. Cholesterol and calories, here we come! Wikihow gives a great explanation on how - I particularly like how it recommends to weave the bacon. That makes a lot of sense to me.
Let me know if you try any of these :-)
